Prof.Dr. Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam, located in Istanbul, Turkey, is an independent, private, non-profit organisation founded in August 2010 for unfolding the cultural and scientific heritage of Islamic civilisation and to transmit it to new generations.

Prof.Dr. Fuat Sezgin, the eponym of the Foundation, is the worldly renowned historian who has dedicated half century of his life to reveal the inventions of the scholars from the Islamic world who led the world in most of the fields of science and technology during 800 years.
