Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, who is the greatest historian of science of the world, wrote the comprehensive work of seventeen volumes entitled \u2018\u2018Geschichte des arabischen Schrifttums\u2019\u2019, which is the result of 65-years of research in the field of the history of Islamic science. \nHe founded the Museum of the Institute for the Arabic-Islamic Sciences, where over 800 objects are displayed.<\/span>
\nHe established a history of sciences library with nearly 45.000 books and 10.000 microfilms which he bought all over the world with his own funds throughout his life.<\/span>
\nHe founded the Istanbul Museum for the History of Science and Technology in Islam in 2008.<\/span>
\nIn 2010, he provided for the establishment of the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam.<\/span>
\nIn 2013, he provided for the establishment of the History of Science Department which is affiliated to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vak\u0131f University.<\/span>
\nIn 2013, he provided for the establishment of the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Institute for the History of Science in Islam which is affiliated to the FSMVU.<\/span>
\nIn 2015, he established the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam Publishing House.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
