The Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Institute for the History of Science in Islam invites participants to a yearly summer school. We organize study workshops on the History of Science, in cooperation with universities in the region, Europe, the USA, Canada, the Arab lands and Iran. Each year the Summer School has a particular focus, and in 2015 the theme was “Light”. The workshops, which last several days, are interdisciplinary, and are linked with the Museum for the History of Science and Technology in Islam. In contrast to the Institute’s academic activities, here the emphasis is on research-based learning, and experimental history of science. .
